Our hotel is as old as the Hungarian capital. Budapest dates back to 1872 when it consisted of three towns: Pest, Buda and Óbuda were then united. That year the hotel called Queen Erzsébet (Elizabeth), after the wife of the then ruling monarch, was opened.
The only thing the hotel has preserved out of its 100-year history up until today is of course the excellent traditions. The worn-out house was closed in 1976, and later on it was even brought down, and the modern three-star Hotel Erzsébet was opened in the summer of 1985 in its place.
The house can be found in the centre of the capital, in close proximity to the business quarter and places of entertainment. The railway station is situated 2 km from the hotel, and it takes 30 minutes to get to the airport by taxi. Located in the downtown, all points of interest are within easy reach of the hotel and guests need not be afraid of the nuisance caused by the heavy traffic, because all rooms are specially soundproofed.
The hotel is suitable particularly for leisure individuals and businessmen seeking moderate first class hotel facilities.
Good value for holding small conferences and seminars in the city centre.
